What We Do
The Silver Mountain Art Residency is a non-profit organization that aims to establish a thriving artist residency program in Victor, Colorado. The project's core mission is to create a positive cultural impact on the global artist community by fostering the development of emerging artists and attracting artistic talent to the area. This will be achieved through the creation of a distraction-free environment where artists can live, work, and refine their craft within the unique community setting of Victor. The project will be housed in the historic Victor Schoolhouse, contributing to its preservation.
Silver Mountain Art Residency will offer a multifaceted program encompassing artist residencies, seminar series, and a dedicated gallery space to showcase and sell resident artwork. The project will also engage with the local community through partnerships with businesses and advocacy programs, contributions to local initiatives, and social events that promote interaction between artists and community members. Silver Mountain Art Residency will operate as a self-supporting non-profit, generating revenue through tuition fees, art supply sales, gallery fees, grants, and private funding. The project will be implemented in phases, starting with a summer program and gradually expanding to year-round operations, increased capacity, and a broader range of artistic media.
Silver Mountain Art Residency is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
