Artist Residency
The Silver Mountain Art Residency's Artist Residency program will provide a unique opportunity for emerging artists to live, work, and develop their craft in the inspiring mountain setting of Victor, Colorado. Residencies typically last one to three months or more, offering a distraction-free environment where artists can focus on their work and receive mentorship from renowned artist Sigrid Zahner. The program will host 12-24 artists per session in the renovated Victor Schoolhouse, providing fully furnished workspaces and accommodation. Silver Mountain Art Residency will purchase supplies in bulk and offer them to artists at cost, minimizing their expenses. Resident artists can showcase and sell their selected artwork at on-site gallery events.
Seminar Series
The Seminar Series at Silver Mountain Art Residency offers a valuable opportunity for artists of all levels to develop their artistic skill sets through week-long workshops led by founding and visiting artists. These seminars will cater to various genres and proficiency levels, ensuring a rich and diverse learning experience. Sigrid Zahner will host the workshops and integrate visiting artists to provide a broader range of perspectives and expertise. Each session will accommodate 12-24 artists. Admission fees will cover instruction, workspace, and base supplies, with optional on-site accommodation available at an additional cost.
Gallery
Silver Mountain Art Residency's on-site gallery provides a dedicated space for resident artists. Gallery events will be held at the end of each artist residency session and coordinated with local art festivals to maximize exposure and community engagement. In addition to the on-site gallery, an online gallery will be established to showcase artwork to a broader online audience. We will charge a small percentage fee for art sold through the gallery to generate revenue for our residency programs.
